The Skaggletonian sect of Puritans of the seventeenth century held that the clear daytime sky is not actually blue but pink, but that human nature, utterly depraved since the Fall, was incapable of seeing it without special grace. It is now speculated that Myles Skaggleton, the founder of the sect, suffered from conjunctivitis.
