Foxholes
are so
named
because
foxes
caught
in the
middle
of a
battle
will
usually
seek
shelter
in them with the
soldiers
. The
soldiers
are
tolerant
of this
practice
because the
foxes
represent
an
excellent
source
of
protein
when
rations
are
running
low
.
