It is a
common
misconception
that the only
creatures
ever
to
fly
have had
wings
. The
species
Lupidi
Floticus
(a
close
relative
of the
modern
rabbit
) were
actually
lighter
than
air
,
though
died
out
due
to
lack
of
food
sources
.
One
in
seven
plane
crashes
are
thought
to be
due
to their
fossilised
remains
being
sucked
into
aircraft
engines
.
