Prof Stephen Hawking is not actually suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. A known prankster, he is one day intending to leap from his chair and shout ‘BOO’ to either Prof William Unruh of the University of British Columbia, or Prof Robert Wald of the University of Chicago, who are both sceptical about Prof Hawking’s controversial cosmological theories.
