Of all cheeses named after counties (e.g. Lancashire, Cheshire, etc.), Sage Humberside was the only one forced to change its name by an EEC directive. It is now known as "Sage East Riding of Yorkshire and the Unitary Council Authorities of North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire." Sales are said to be 'disappointing' following the change.
