Hugo Weaving came to the premiere screening for "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" dressed up as Agent Smith from "The Matrix" because of a wardrobe mix up. He refused to come out of character, and insisted on speaking the words "Mr Anderson" after every one of Elrond's lines on-screen.
