When two plastic utensils, such as forks, are exposed to enourmous amounts of energy, they fuse to form heavier silverware, such as stainless steel, bronze, silver, gold, and in the most extreme cases, platinum. Scientists say that not even our sun is powerful enough to fuse gold forks into platinum ones.
