After early success creating the game of table-tennis, Xian Ping attempted, unsuccessfully, to promote the similarly diminutive sport of table-rugby. Played with an oval ping-pong ball, by two teams of three midgets, it proved difficult to engineer tables capable of withstanding the force of repeated tackles.
