The original concept for the popular TV show "Knight Rider" involved a helicopter powered by a nuclear pangolin. Each episode was written in such a way as to bring the viewer a little closer to the torment of having one's tongue anchored internally to the hip bones, such as pangolins do. Unfortunately, after the original concept was developed, the writer was involved in a sailing mishap which caused his fingertips to spontaneously combust, and the series was rewritten by a colleague.
