New
Jersey
law
requires
that
anyone
found
to
dislike
tomatoes
or
beer
must
be
deported
. This is a
little
known
law
, to be
found
in an
1830
revision
of a
1723
colonial
directive
which
directed
that
offenders
be
staked
out on a
dune
infested
with horseflies for
two
days
before they were
set
adrift
in a
small
leaky
craft
.
