According to N.A.P.H.A., an international organization of roller-coaster enthusiasts, 5 of the top 10 roller coasters on the planet are in the US state of Ohio. These include the longest coaster, the only wooden looping coaster, the tallest suspended coaster, the first coaster to break the 200ft barrier, and currently the fastest (97+mph) and tallest (310ft) coaster in the world. Bowing to their love of coasters the Ohio state legislature has just passed ORC bill 34.5.f, which stipulates all new highway and public transportation projects must include at least one 55% grade drop of over 200ft, three camel humps, an inverted corkscrew and a 540 degree helix per mile of new road or rail.
