Since
1984
, the
Polish
Football
Association
has
operated
a "
circular
"
league
system
,
whereby
the
division
one
winners
go
into
division
six
, and
effectively
have to "
start
again" at the
bottom
of the
league
. In
1987
the
loophole
which
allowed
teams
to be
relegated
from
division
six
to the
premiership
was
closed
, after
five
different
sides
spent
the
entire
season
trying
to
lose
every
game
on
purpose
.
