Solar panels consist of light hating gerbils who, upon sensing the sun are compelled to generate small quantities of electric charge by running on tiny wheels linked to a conveyor belt that feeds little pieces of coal into a furnace to produce heat to make steam which drives a turbine generating an electric charge.
