In an effort to help motorists during blizzard season, Minnesota traffic patrol invented the `car-a-pult' to help dislodge cars from their stranded positions. The idea was abandoned after officers accidentally launched a car through the roof of a 7-11 in the next county, completely demolishing the snack aisle and the cold beer section.
