The
reason
there are no
words
in the
English
language
that
rhyme
with
orange
is that
King
Henry
VIII
banned
all such
words
in
1537
. There were in
fact
at
least
73
words
that
rhymed
with
orange
,
including
florange
(
meaning
to
smoke
a
pipe
),
storange
(meaning very
excited
) and
borange
(a
type
of
popular
hat
).
