Cllr Pierre Rundlefoot, mayor of the small Leicestershire town of Cromby Magna, is leading plans to reinstate the medieval sport of Stoat Raddling. Earliest records of the sport being played appear in monastic illuminations of the ninth century A.D., but it had died out by the 1600s when it was overtaken in popularity by the sport of Weasel Humping, which was made illegal in 1864 after being directly linked to three fatalities in the Lincolnshire area.
