The film "The Sound of Music" is a sadly misleading title. The original story has been altered so that the poor von Trappist family (who were forbidden by their strong religious convictions from talking, much less breaking into inane song at the drop of a hat) were replaced by the much more Hollywood-friendly von Trapps.
