The space-age material Kevlar is named after it's inventor Kevin Devlin and London, the place in which it was first created. However, due to a linguistic misunderstanding on the telephone to "Tomorrow's World", Kevin's strong Cockney accent turned London to 'Larndan', and Kevlon sadly became Kevlar.
