The ancient Mayas invented television, archeologists recently discovered. They also found evidence that the programs were only in black and white and primarily educational in nature. This may explain why the invention died out with the collapse of the Mayan empire. That, or a change from three prong to two prong outlets forced owners to abandon their sets.
