A recent study commissioned by CCS (Commission of Commissioned Studies) found that 26.34% of studies wasted millions on stating the blindingly obvious. This prompted a further study which determined that, by not doing studies which stated the blindingly obvious, a cost saving of approximately 1/4 could be achieved.
