The Scumbag was originally an extremely hi-tech hold-all developed by Microsoft in collaboration with Adidas. Unfortunately, despite Teflon handles, cat-gut stitching and Windows 95 compatibility, it was unable to reliably store and transport human semen. This problem led to beta testers labelling senior MS employees as 'scumbags', hence the contemporary definition.
