Unbeknownst to most people, Count Alfred Von Schlieffen was an avid gardener. The so-called "Schlieffen Plan" was, in fact, simply his proposal for rotating the Brussels Sprout plantings in his garden. The proposal was accidentally mixed in with some of his other papers, ultimately resulting in World War I.
