Labour economists have calculated that Glaswegian tramps collect over £10bn for "cups of tea" on the streets of London each year. However, their concern arises because all the cafes and coffee shops in London only show annual takings of between £2-3 bn. The Government is going to crack down on these undeclared earnings and tax these outlets more heavily. On the flip side however, off-licenses in the area are showing strong trading figures.
