The only edition of Desert Island Discs never to have been broadcast was when former England football manager Bobby Robson was a guest in 1995. The controller of Radio 4 considered Robson's choice of eight songs from The Proclaimers' "Sunshine On Leith" LP to be "an unusual selection", and the recording was quickly shelved.
